It’s a new week of bets and I’m going to table the Most Profitable challenge for now just since there isn’t enough response to keep it going currently. But let’s share the top 10 MLB bets (more like 15 everyday because I am unable to stop at 10) for today, hopefully hitting your inbox before first pitch on the early games:

And here’s five bonus bets for NBA playoffs. It’s been a haul switching over our primary content focus from NBA to MLB since NBA just gets SO many more views and so much more engagement but we’re pot committed to build up MLB after hitting a ton of home run bets and profitable days this week.

We still have NBA bets daily on the app as well with markets for ALL games, not just ones today, so there are a lot of lines to hit before they become less mathematically profitable.

Product updates up first: Sportsbook filtering is now live on the app, allowing you to pare our databases down just to the one or more sportbooks you actually have money in to try to find best bets you can immediately act upon.

This was a FREQUENT request from early users and — even though I do think it’s most important to just focus on the odds and PROBLY Score — I know people sometimes want just the mathematically profitable picks and to place the bet FAST.

Everyone who provides me with feedback, whether it be through social media or email, is something we try to account for and execute. It’s a balance between executing on our essential items and things like that but we hope to continue to always hear your guys’ problems and try to build a solution (seriously, anything you think may add value feel free to email me [email protected]).

Other than that, we’re working on some database cleanup items again — in particular a script that will allow us to store less items in the database while saving results elsewhere.

We also have an architecture review of our Amazon Web Services setup with an AWS-recommended agency next week that we’re expecting gives us some wins to save money and hopefully an idea on how to rebuild our databases to make for better ease/manipulation of our data.

We’re hoping to clear this stuff out and then start fresh on a new feature shortly after depending upon how we feel about priorities.

Companywise, as I mentioned in the intro, it’s been a bit of a slog lately for me as we try to find a good fit for our first round of funding. It’s a lot of hurry up and wait with setting up calls, providing follow-up info or answering questions, then waiting around to hear more, sometimes for very long periods of time. Then you have to keep the pipeline going with new people and the process begins again.

It’s a stressor, particularly since we anticipate having to make a decision on a couple of incubators that require us to be in person at the end of next month. As a father of a two-year-old who really lights up my life — and needs his dad — I’d really prefer to find a round of funding where I don’t have to uproot myself for months at a time. But we shall see since, ultimately, the company’s success is priority number one.

In a lot of ways, it feels like betting. You do the work, you feel like you have a good read on the situation, you hope to get the outcome you wanted. But there are so many variables that go into it — a vast majority of which beyond your control — that can lead to this particular bet hitting.

Much like betting, I’m comfortable accepting the risk. But the waiting continues to be the hardest part.
